There is no stopping for Korean dessert café Nunsongyee 눈송이, which has opened up yet another bingsu shop, this time at Bukit Timah.
Located at Yuk Tong Ave, a short distance walk from Beauty World MRT station (exit to Chun Tin Road), the cafe has a relatively large seating capacity.
The better news is, it is opened 24/7!

It was just early last year when we wrote about Nunsongyee at the ulu Burghley Drive, then only had few customers at most hours of the day.
The expansion came fast and furious, with current branches (some franchise) at Tanjong Katong, Bugis and Upper Thomson.

The offerings are still similar from when it started, with varieties of Pat Bingsu, Oreo, Choco-Banana, Cheesecae, Injeolmi, Blueberry, Mixed Berries Black Sesame, Strawberry, Coffee, Snow White and the latest addition of Mango Bingsu.
Price range from $12.90 to $18.90.
I would have possibly tried every bingsu on its menu, and personal favourites include Mixed Berries, Snow White and Injeolmi.

After trying out bingsu in Seoul, I realised Nunsongyee’s version is very close to the popular Sulbing. Even the furnishing is modelled after the typical Korean style with wood and earthly elements.

There are some winning factors for Nunsongyee: The bingsu is quite authentically Korean, using specially imported machines, shaved milk is incorporated rather than water, several key ingredients are directly imported from Korea, and the rice cakes used are made following the recipe of the owner’s grandmother.
Having been a regular, I often ask if there are NEW flavours, but the answer is always a flat “No”.
I hope that Nunsongyee can explore having seasonal varities, and for each branch to have at least one unique item that the rest would not have. #Wishlist
