Restaurant Ember has been one of the main stayers and most reputable restaurants along Keong Saik Road, serving Modern European cuisine with an Asian twist. Did you know: this is famous restauranteur’s Loh Lik Peng’s first restaurant in Singapore.
With new Executive Chef Alex Phan – who is supportive of local businesses – on board, expect a Market-to-Table concept, with the advantage of having the Chinatown wet market a short distance away.
Other than Ah Hua Kelong Sea Bass with Tomato Butter & Charred Corn ($32), other signatures include Market Pork Belly with Enoki, Parsley and Cashew ($34), Tiger Beer Sorbet with Lap Cheong & Pineapple ($14) and Kaffir Lime with Coconut & Pandan ($12).
Ember’s famed Sakura Ebi Cappellini has also been given a slightly spicier update with Konbu, Chilli & Crustacean Oil.

For a taste of Italy, and a feel of Italy.
OSO Ristorante, launched by two long-time friends, Stephane Colleoni and international award-winning Italian chef Diego Chiarini, is located in a 17,100 square feet four-storey heritage conservation mansion built in the 1830s at Bukit Pasoh.
Known to serve both classic and contemporary Italian cuisine, the fresh seasonal ingredients used are sourced directly from Italy and across Asia.
The pasta selection include Stracci ($24) – whole wheat pasta with braised wild boar in red wine; Fettucine with de-shelled baby lobster, basil and San Marzano tomato ($34); and the popular made-to-order Spaghetti cooked with fish and seafood, pepperoncino chilli and tomato sauce ($24).
For something different, OSO’s Panna Cotta ($14) contains caramelised black pepper and double cream flan for a sweet and interesting finish.

Literally an underground bar, B28 is located at the basement of The Club. Make a guess what the name stands for?
“B” for “basement” and the number “28” for its address.
For whisky lovers, B28 offers over 200 Scottish single malts with a notable selection of exclusive cask strength bottling. Plus, enjoy an extensive offering of dark rums, Bourbons, handcrafted classic cocktails, and a couple of delicious craft beers for your night out.

Mr & Mrs Maxwell’s
The Club, 28 Ann Siang Road, Singapore 069708
Tel: +65 6808 2181
Opening Hours: 7am – 11pm (Sun – Thurs), 7am – 12am (Fri – Sat)

Mr & Mrs Maxwell’s is designed as the cosy ‘living room’ of The Club, where the menu is inspired by a couple’s travels and adventures around the world.
The all-day lounge café on the ground level has different faces to it. On one side, it is like a living room with a lounge ambience, decorated with framed art pieces and ornaments.
For those who fancy a dessert to make it to your ‘Instagram-worthy’ list, go for the ‘Baked Alaska’ ($16), not quite like anything you have ever seen. The baked ice cream is topped with cotton candy other than just the typical meringue (yes, bright green and blue cotton candy), then flambéed when served. Pretty dramatic, I must say.

Some may wonder about the name “Tiger’s Milk”. The Peruvian rooftop bar, possibly the first in Singapore, is named after an important ingredient in Peruvian ceviche.
A must-have is the Peruvian-Style Burger, featuring soy-glazed patty topped with red onions served with roasted peppers and sweet potato chips. The meat patty was both juicy and irresistibly sweet, making it hard to keep your hands away. Possibly one of my favourite burgers in Singapore in recent times. Also, try pairing your food with a glass of Pisco-infused concoction.

Order, eat, drink, repeat. The Disgruntled Chef’s aim is to “create food to make people happy”, and “do away with the unnecessary in stuffy fine-dining”.
Founder & Executive Chef Daniel categorised his dishes into small plates and large plates, with signatures such as Baked Bone Marrow with Persillade & Sourdough Toast and Crackling Suckling Pig served with Honey & Clove Sauce.
Do not leave without having a Chocolate Fondant. Not just any ordinary fondant, but one with peanut butter ganache, sides of banana fritters (very localised), and luxurious dark rum banana ice cream. You will not leave disgruntled.
