10 NEW Korean Bingsu Shops In Singapore – Sweet Dessert Shavings To Cool You Down

Once upon a time (actually just early last year), Korean Bingsu descended in perpetually hot Singapore and the dessert-fever spread like wildfire.

It is estimated that there are more that 30 new Korean Bingsu cafes which opened in Singapore last year alone.

Many have bitten the dust. Common reasons – wrong choice of location, fierce competition, or just coarse shavings which paled in the light of shops which import quality ingredients and better machines.

The NEWer Bingsu shops that opened this year have to resort to ‘chut-more-pattern’, shaping their bingsu like cute cartoon characters, interesting flavours, or add dry ice for that Instagram effect.

Here are 10 NEW Korean Bingsu Shops In Singapore opened within this year. (Some, you really NEVER hear before.)

Bingsu
The Clementi Mall #04-33 Singapore 129588
Opening Hours: 11:30am – 9:30pm

This bingsu shop at Clementi Mall (Level 4, quite obscure) is just called… Bingsu.

Jumping on the Pokemon Go bandwagon, they have released a Poke Mango Bingsu ($8.90) shaped like Pikachu, and a Pokeball-inspired Bingsu Ball ($5.90) topped with strawberry crunch.

What you may not know: You can even request for their staff for “UNLIMITED” Lure Modules for the two Pokestops near their shop with purchase of any bingsu. IKR.

The Mango Bingsu ($18.90) boosted fine shaved milk, and was soft and fluffy. However, some of the mango cubes were sour though.

Il-Sole Korean Desserts
Jurong Point Shopping Centre #03-54/55, 1 Jurong West Central 2, Singapore 658886 (Boon Lay MRT)

The Snow Ice variety range from the signature Red Bean with Milk ($12.50), Injeolmi ($12.50) to more fanciful Strawberry Cheese ($18.90), Mango Cheese ($18.90) and Grapes ($16.90). Quite expensive.

The Green Tea with toppings of Red Bean ($14.90) arrived with a small cup of sweetened milk to pour over.

My recommendation: Try before you pour, otherwise the whole combination may be overly sweet. Il-Sole Korean Desserts (Jurong Point)
