Located near Macpherson MRT station, this Thai style Beef Noodles called “Easy Chatuchak” is considered off the radar to many, despite its authentic taste and affordable pricing.

The humble-looking stall is situated within a non-conspicuous coffee shop at Circuit Road, a short walk of 8 to 10 minutes from Macpherson MRT station.

To be honest, I was somewhat skeptical about the place, even though I read some positive reviews.
Despite peak lunch hours, there wasn’t much of a crowd. Perhaps customers will come during dinner time for their bowl of comfort.

For $6, the bowl came with about 4 pieces of tender beef, 1 beef shank chunk, with generous serving of vegetables.
You can choose to add on slices of beef or shank at $1.50, more noodles at $1.00, radish at $0.50.

My favourite part was the broth, especially with soft radish added in for some sweetness. Considered flavoursome, yet not overly oily or salty, and that slight beefy taste would linger around after consuming the soup.
The noodles were springy and chewy, though perhaps those typically found in Thailand has a softer touch as fresh noodles are used.

The highlight is definitely the chilli, though it is not for the faint-hearted and may cause you to break out in sweat.
At $6, this is reasonably good quality beef noodles, better than some offered at commercial restaurants.
However, it may not have that superb WOW factor to warrant a trip all the way there. Still worth a try if you are craving for that comforting bowl of Thai beef noodles.
