Quanjude is known to be established since 1864 during the Qing Dynasty, and the ducks are said to be originally reserved for the imperial families.
It is considered one of the must-visits for tourists in Beijing to have their fill of the Peking Duck.

Its original location is situated at Beijing Qianmen, with several other branches throughout China. Just look out for its signature cutesy duck icon.

The Quanjude roast duck preparation is unique, said to use open ovens and non-smoky hardwood fuel such as Chinese date, peach, or pear to add a subtle fruity flavor with a golden crisp to the skin.
I have tried the ducks too long ago in the main branch at Beijing, and it is good that the famed ducks and other dishes are going to be found right near home.

However, the restaurant chain is not without its criticism, said to be over-commercialised with inconsistent standards and “chop carrot prices”.
I wonder how prices would be like in Singapore. Let’s hope that it will be friendlier.
