[Taipei] The Michelin stars will be arriving to Taipei next week, but first… the Michelin Bib Gourmand list.
The Bib Gourmand is awarded to restaurants and street stalls under a certain price range.
There are 36 awardees, of which 10 are located in Taipei’s popular night markets. Some of the popular street food stalls included Fu Zhou Shi Zu Pepper Bun 福州世祖胡椒饼 at Raohe Night Market, and Liu Yu Zi from Ningxia Night Market 寧夏夜市 known for their handmade yam balls.

The Michelin inspectors seem to have a penchant for Taiwanese Beef Noodles, with the famous shops of Yong Kang Beef Noodles 永康牛肉麺館, Lin Dong Fang Beef Noodles, Niu Dian Beef Noodles and Liu Shandong Beef Noodles getting a nod.

Even the insanely long-queued (slightly over-rated) Fu Hang Dou Jiang 阜杭豆漿 known for its soya bean milk and dough-sticks is included.
I was curious about Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐, and was expecting it to get a star. It’s main flagship outlet is given ‘only’ a Bib Gourmand. Maybe the Taipei 101 branch will have better luck?
