The inaugural Michelin Guide Taipei has been announced with 20 restaurants awarded stars. (Also read: Taipei Michelin Bib Gourmand 2018)
Cantonese Restaurant 君品酒店- 頤宮中餐廳 Le Palais located on the 17th floor of Palais de Chine (君品酒店), is the only 3 Stars recipient.
Other notable inclusions are Ming Fu 明福台菜海鮮 which has only 6 to 7 tables known for its Buddha jumps over the wall; and RAW by Chef Andre Chiang – because he specifically mentioned about declining Michelin stars for RAW in a press release.
A surprise exclusion is Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐 which is ‘relegated’ to a Bib Gourmand; and Shih Yeh known for its Taiwanese cuisine.
