Fans of Cartoon Network’s We Bare Bears will be excited to know that their favourite bears have ‘invaded’ Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks stores.
Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks, known for its XXL Crispy Chicken, Crispy Floss Egg Crepe, Handmade Oyster Mee Sua and Seafood Tempura, has introduced Crispy BEARtastic Mushroom 香脆金針菇 at all its Singapore outlets.

You can find the new product in stores around the island from 313@Somerset, Far East Plaza, Jurong Point Shopping Centre, Nex, Tampines Mall to East Point Mall.

The newly launched fried snack ($4.40 per order) of battered enoki mushroom, freshly fried upon ordered, is seasoned in 3 savoury flavours – Grilled Seaweed 炭燒海苔, Roasted Cuttlefish 烤墨魚 and Sweet & Sour 酸甜.

These are served in cute paper boxes that feature Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear. The Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks staff can also be spotted wearing We Bare Bears aprons.

Grilled Seaweed 炭燒海苔
Deep fried till golden and crisp, the Grilled Seaweed flavour was the favourite among my friends, perhaps because the savory flavour of the seafood complements the earthiness of the mushrooms.

Roasted Cuttlefish 烤墨魚
This has a more complex, seafood-y flavour. The texture of the chewy mushrooms, along with the slight salty combination reminded me of the childhood-favourite cuttlefish snack.
