Those who have a soft spot for fluffy pancake will be happy to know that Riz Labo Kitchen from Omotesando Tokyo will be opening up in Singapore.
Its location is set to be at Wisma Atria Orchard Road, with anticipated opening date on the 21st of July (Sat).
Talk about pancakes and the Japanese do theirs quite differently.
Somehow there is this fluffiness and melt-in-your-mouth texture, with aesthetically pleasing presentations that can chase away all afternoon blues.
One of the key characteristics of Riz Labo Kitchen’s pancakes is that they are gluten free, made from 100% rice flour instead of wheat flour.
Supposedly healthier than regular pancakes.
Their pancakes also come in all sorts of flavours, with the Matcha Pancake being the most popular.
Included with azuki beans, Hokkaido fresh cream and good quality matcha powder, they managed to incorporate traditional Japanese elements into this sweet treat.
With that said, keeping quality consistent and potential customers to be continually interested are also key.
I mean, with no offence intended, Pablo Cheese Tart Café did open at Wisma Atria to snaking queues, but that quickly dwindled. Just saying.
