The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival – 14 “Food Truck” Kiosks From Tsui Wah, Keisuke To The Ranch, 5-9 Dec

Keep your 5th to 9th of December evenings free.

This is for the inaugural outdoor pop-up dining concept – The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival, which will showcase a repertoire of local and global cuisines. Tsui Wah’s Pork Chop Buns, Keisuke’s Lobster Ramen, The Ranch’s Japanese Wagyu … how about East Treasure’s Crocodile Meat Soup?

This is the 1st ever Clarke Quay Food Festival (or FEASTival).

It is held from 5th to 9th December (Wed to Sun), from 6pm onwards till 11pm.

During the FEASTival, there will be 14 food kiosks, for you to taste different cuisines from Asia, America and Europe from participating Clarke Quay tenants. All at one place.

Here’s where it is going to take place: street-style on Read Bridge.

The bridge crosses the Singapore River linking Clarke Quay to Swissôtel Merchant Court, and the entire bridge will be peppered with decorations and transformed into an outdoor under-the-stars Instagram-worthy event.

You can indulge in signature dishes and curated cocktails with friends on the bridge as you overlook the Singapore River.

Visitors will be able to sample selected menu favourites at special tasting prices ($10 – $32) from the 15 restaurants represented. Cocktails, wine and craft beers will also be available so you can step into a food pairing adventure during the festival.

Here are 14 food highlights from The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival:

Tsui Wah 翠華
Tsui Wah is a familiar name to many, one of the biggest and most successful Cha Chaan Teng chains from Hong Kong.

At The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival, you can taste some of their most popular items, such as the Crispy Bun with Condensed Milk ($4). This bun is freshly toasted, making it crispy golden brown on the surface and pillow-soft on the inside.

The Tsui Wah Signature Pork Chop Bun ($7.50) will also be available, marinated in Tsui Wah’s original recipe, making each pork chop tender and juicy.

The flavourful pork chop is served in a crispy bun, with fresh vegetables and pickles. A must-taste dish during the FEASTival.

Best paired with a fresh cup of milk tea. What else to get but Tsui Wah’s Signature Milk Tea ($4), freshly brewed daily from imported tea leaves from Tsui Wah in Hong Kong.

Ramen Keisuke Lobster King
To local ramen fans, Ramen Keisuke needs little introduction.

Chef-owner Keisuke Takeda is known to take inspiration from the French culinary style, and incorporate into his ramen creations.

To create that creamy texture and unique depth in flavour in the broths used for the ramen, the stock brewing takes several hours.

A special Lobster Broth Ramen (Rich Soup) is available during the event for only $10 per portion.

French rock lobsters are specially imported from France, simmered for hours with a special blend of herbs and vegetables to create the soup used in the lobster broth. The broth reminded me of a combination of both French style lobster bisque and Japanese ramen soup base, which can be both brimming with flavours and heavily rich.

May finish till the last drop.
