[Taipei] Having queued up and bought the trending Tiger Sugar Brown Sugar Bubble Milk a number of times, I wanted to try how it is like from its country of origin.

(You can read about the Singapore outlet here: Tiger Sugar Singapore at Capitol Singapore and 16 Brown Sugar Milk Tea In Singapore.)
The brand originated from Taichung in Taiwan, known for its milk drink added with dark brown sugar syrup, and ‘tiger stripes’ formed a layer of sugar is coated on the inner side of the cup.

I walked past the Taipei Train Station outlet, and joined the line of about 10 people.

While there is always a constant line and delivery orders, the queue cleared fast, say within 5 to 10 minutes.

One thing I noticed was its price, with a drink between NT$40 to NT$55 (SGD1.79 to SGD2.46).
The signature cup is SGD5.30 back home, more than double the price in Taipei. Anyway…

If you are unsure what to get for a first timer, get the Brown Sugar Boba and Pearls Milk with Cream Mousse 虎虎生风厚鲜奶含奶霜,波霸加珍珠混搭 (NT$55).
This includes both the large Boba pearls for a chewier bite, and smaller pearls (slightly bigger than sago). The added cream mousse at the top gives a layer of richness.

There is also the “Tea Latte” series, which I thought wasn’t was impressionable as the Milk to experience the smoothness and full flavours.

Interestingly, the “tiger stripes” were so much more ‘beautiful’ here and stuck on the cup for a couple of minutes before they disintegrated (I am a food blogger in foreign land who brings his cup to further away places for photos.)
Tiger Sugar recommends shaking the cup for 15 times before consumption.
Just as a note: Shake BEFORE you insert the straw in, because I have seen someone do that after putting in the straw and wondered why her dress had all those white stuff.
The brown sugar was indeed fragrant with that distinct caramel flavour here. Have to say it is indeed more prominent and tastier than what I previously drank. A friend commented it is almost like having chendol in a cup.
The milk was also cold and smoothly-creamy at the same time, with softer than usual boba pearls. It was an enjoyable drink.

Also available was a limited-edition Golden Pudding Brown Sugar Milk or Tea Latte (NT$55), with the drinks added with a pudding.
The pudding was like very-soft panna cotta added to the drink, though I thought it did little to enhance the taste of the drink overall (You spend your time struggling to suck it up.) And could be distracting as the main stars to me are the brown sugar, milk and pearls.
Coincidentally, this Golden Pudding Brown Sugar Milk would be offered at Tiger Sugar Singapore at Capitol Singapore, Chinatown Point and NEW outlet at Orchard Paragon.
For 10 days, limited to 150 cups per day at each outlet. (Date it starts offered is tentatively going to be 12th January.)
So yes, Tiger Sugar is opening its 3rd outlet in Singapore at Orchard Paragon 12th January (Saturday).
