From the team that bought to you Two Bakers, SugarTree Gelato is their latest venture and features an assortment of gelato made from scratch using all-natural premium ingredients.

For those who are not familiar with Two Bakers, they reviously did a dessert remake of nostalgic treats such as “Ming Jiang Kueh”, “Bao Zi” and palm size Ondeh Ondeh.

A hole-in-a-wall takeaway kiosk located within Stars of Kovan.

For easy navigation, they are at the stretch of shophouses located opposite the ever-popular supper spot, Ponggol Nasi Lemak.

Some of the notable gelato flavours were such as Keylime Cheesecake, Passionfruit Mint and Lemongrass Ginger.

I was particularly intrigued by the Banana Milk, which reminded me of the famous Korean bottled beverage.

The only difference is that real banana fruit goes into the gelato making process.

The owners shared that they use only ripened banana to achieve its natural sweetness, with no addition of artificial flavouring.

It was like having a real banana fruit, with a touch of creaminess.

I also had the Roasted Pistachio and Raspberry Rose. The former boasted fresh earthy notes; while the latter infused with floral and fruity sweetness.

Single scoop retails for $4.20 and Double scoop going at $7.60, with a $0.80 top-up for Premium flavour gelato.

Freshly made herb-infused cone is the new norm.

Thanks to predecessor like Birds Of Paradise who popularize thyme cone and Bread & Butterfly follow suit with lavender cone.

SugarTree’s artisan sugar cone is infused with rosemary herb and goes at nominal top-up of $1.

While I didn’t detect any distinctive scent of rosemary, the crispy fresh cone complements the rich creamy gelato, which is also good to have on its own.

Waffles and gelato are also available at $9.80, which unfortunately wasn’t available at point of visit.

Their assortment of gelato flavours also will change subject to seasonal produce and ingredients availability.
