The loud booming voice of uncle calling out customer’s numbers is one unique feature of this Wanton Mee eatery located at Roxy Square Katong.

First timers may be in for a little shock because it does get loud and louder, especially when some customers are MIA and don’t arrive much later.

Char siew was sliced thick, slightly more lean than fatty; while the fried dumplings were wonderfully crisp.

Accompanying soup was not bad too, cooked with chicken and pork bones and included with a lot of spring onions.

There is just something about the sauce, perhaps the level and type of spiciness may not be everybody’s favourite.

All-in-all, a good plate of Wanton Noodles which is value for its money. Perhaps if customers wait too long, they may come with higher expectations.
