Taxi uncle didn’t know where “Nucleos Biopolis” is. Who would blame him, and he also could not comprehend why someone would go all the way there just to drink coffee and eat cake.
Yes, as if Revolution Coffee and Hoopla are not enough, Curbside Cafe & Wine Bar joins in the One-North neighbourhood which makes this ‘ulu’ research and development district kind of cool.

Curbside means ‘side pavement’ and the owners want to create the similar feeling of being carefree and approachable. (The song of “Pretty Woman” somehow rings in my head immediately.)

Coffee-lovers who crave for a full spectrum of caffeine may be disappointed that there are only 3 types here – Black ($4.00), White ($4.50) or Choc-based ($5.00). I kind of like it that they didn’t name the coffees proper (probably on purpose). Why stick to rules?

Food choice is limited at the moment with the available items being Cod Fish & Chips ($18), Cheeseburger ($16), Mac & Cheese ($15) and Spaghetti with Meatballs ($16). Other online reviews indicated that the taste and presentation would need some fine-tuning. They are looking at expanding the menu.

O.Kay. TMI. The wait-staff team was a bunch of cheerful, candid people who made you feel right at home. Plus, the café opens early enough and closes late to cater to the working crowd in the vicinity.

A people-focused new café – nice. By the way, we saw the boss Samantha on the way out. The staff is right – she IS very cool.
