While I personally thought it was almost unimaginable that we still managed to cough out another 20 cafes while we are still early in the year, 3 things are apparent.
1. Café openings are slowing down.
2. Many are starting their operations in the East of Singapore, think Katong, Bedok, Changi (my prediction West is next).
3. Several cafes opened last year have closed or are fighting a tough battle.
