Chinese New Year is the time for get-togethers and feasting with family and friends, and Singapore’s very own CNY ‘tradition’ includes tossing Yu Sheng, otherwise known as “Lo-hei”.

The good news is, you can now have Chinese New Year food items, such as Yu Sheng and even festive cookies (yes, pineapple tarts!) delivered right to your doorstep with Deliveroo.

Remember those days when it was so hard to even find decent restaurants opened during CNY Day 1 and 2. Times have changed, and you can even get restaurant food Deliveroo-ed to your house with all that convenience now.

I was actually contemplating which Yu Sheng I can ‘ta-bao’ (takeaway) for my family dinner, till I remembered I could actually just Deliveroo everything over.

No squeezing with other commuters on the train while holding a big plate of shredded vegetables and sashimi, no fear or having it topple somewhere along the journey, no hassle. Just open the app and select.
