The moment I walked into Monument Lifestyle at 75 Duxton Road, I thought there were quite a number of pieces that I would get. That was before I saw the price tags.
The clothes were still quite me, maybe I would get a piece one day.
Monument Lifestyle is a part retail store, part café. Can I say finally – the collection is for men.

Many brands featured are exclusive in Singapore, and it is where you can get a wardrobe revamp from labels of Katin, Alex Mill and Hari Marit, accessories, and grooming products. There are parts which remind me of Bangkok’s One Ounce For Onion.

I liked how the entire space was done up, in a stylish yet cosy setting. The lifestyle store was at the front, while the café blended unobtrusively at the back.
While there were a number of office workers who walked in and out to grab a cuppa, the café remained relatively quiet, while staff would be friendly enough to make small-talks.
Kind of like your Los Angeles neighbourhood café.

Coffee beans were from Four Barrel Coffee, known to be one of the best coffee roasters in San Francisco.

No proper-proper food is available here though, but you could still set some light bites of Artisanal Toasts with toppings of Cinnamon, Apple Caramel, Lemon Curd, Nutella with Sea Salt or Avocado ($6.50 – $9.50), Croissants ($3.70 – $4.10), Muffin ($4.20) and Brownies ($3.70).
