BreadTalk – The 1st Crater Cheese Honey Cake In Singapore. So Soft & Fluffy, Limited Quantity Available

BreadTalk has launched the Crater Cheese Honey Cake, likely to be the 1st in Singapore.

The Crater Cheese Honey Cake, sometimes known as Baked Honey Cheese Cake, have gotten quite trendy in neighbouring countries, and may remind some of the popular Castella Cake.

However, these are not commonly found in Singapore, yet.

What you get is a honey sponge cake, topped with a layer of caramelised cheese – made with BreadTalk’s own cheese sauce creation.

Can you imagine the taste? A combination of savoury and light sweetness.

Actually not too bad at all. I enjoyed the top part most where the cheese sauce had melted all over and seeped down lower. If only there was even more cheese – would have the extra “oomph”.

Compared to the typical American-style cheesecake, this is fluffy and soft, almost like a chiffon.

Therefore, I found this cake manageable in both size and portion – possible to finish alone or shared with a friend, and you do not feel THAT full after having half in a seating.

I initially didn’t want to finish the cake, but found myself consuming the entire thing. Quite addictive because it was so light.

Take note though: As the cakes are freshly prepared and more labour-intensive to prepare, they are offered in limited quantities each day, from 12pm onwards (till stocks last).

The Crater Cheese Honey Cake is currently available at an introductory price of $3.80 each (U.P. $5.00) only at 5 outlets: BreadTalk IHQ, Toa Payoh HDB Hub, Paragon, Jurong Point and Chinatown Point.

Other than the new Crater Cheese Honey Cake, you can look out for BreadTalk’s other light and fluffy cakes which include the popular Pong Pong Cake with a salted egg yolk twist, and the recently-launched Chocolate Chiffon made with chocolate of 55% cocoa, Belgian cocoa powder and topped with chocolate chips.
