The Zi-Char Restaurant at Bishan Street 11 got into the limelight recently with the introduction of the Cheesy Flavoured Beehoon.
Yes, cheddar cheese with bee hoon. The eatery is also offering Cheese Flavoured Lobster Beehoon.
On another note, Bishan Street 11 also boosts of other zhi char eateries such as Ong Yong Lee Eating House, and Royal J Premium known for its Claypot Fried Porridge.

Over at House of Beehoon, if you would like something more regular, there are other options of Signature Beehoon in Superior Soup ($6, $9, $12), Crab Beehoon ($40.00), Lobster Beehoon ($45.00), Crayfish Beehoon ($16, $24, $32), and Big Prawns Beehoon ($10, $15, $20).
My friends thought that Cheese Bee Hoon was too funky for them, and we went for the Singature Beehoon instead.

Even though the Signature Beehoon looked simple, I enjoyed the flavourful stock with wok-hei. That is because the base is cooked with a seafood soup broth that has been simmered for 8 hours.

The other dishes I ordered – the Sambal Kang Kong ($7, $10, $13) and Prawn Paste Har Cheong Chicken ($8, $12, $16), were more ordinary though.
The eatery also recommends their Braised Jade “Xi Si” Beancurd ($12, $18, $24), Salad Prawn Wrap with Bacon ($15, $20, $25), Braised Pork Belly Dong Po Rou ($12, $24), Steamed Glutinous Rice with Crab ($40) and Salted Egg Sotong ($9, $13, $18).

Perhaps for a “House of Beehoon” to stand out even further, they can consider expanding on their bee hoon range and incorporate items such as Laksa Beehoon and Tomyum Beehoon. Just a suggestion.
