[Seoul] Mint lovers assemble.
There is a café in Hongdae Called Mint Heim 민트하임 serving mint-flavoured items for all you people who love eating toothpaste mint.
Hidden away from the main streets of Hongdae, the turquoise-coloured entrance is bold enough to attract passers-by with a second glance or a turn of the head.

Of course, for a mint-themed café, how can the interior not be aqua/jade/teal coloured?
The café is decorated with white tables, green-coloured chairs and wall-paper printed with green leaves.
As I visited during a weekday morning, there were few customers which made the place feel quite cosy and fresh, minus the fact that the shop was blasting some music.

Their menu came in both English and Korean, and since the place happened to be popular among the Japanese, certain items were labelled in Japanese.

The Mint Oreo Cheesecake (6,500 Won, SGD7.60) and larger-than-usual Mint Oreo Macaron (2,500 Won, SGD2.90) accordingly were most popular among the Japanese customers.
This can be paired with Mint Café Latte (5,000won, SGD5.80), also one of the top-sellers. I know, this is sounding kind of an overdose already.

Going to be honest here, I am not that a huge fan of mint, but the gradient of this drink is b-e-autiful.
There was a slight cooling-mint flavour to the coffee, not to the extent of overpowering. Refreshing and perfect for summer.

The Mint Oreo Cheesecake’s colour may throw off some people slightly though, looking as though it was radioactive and with a colour that could suggest desserts-for-aliens.
The fudgey cheesecake was thankfully not too sweet, while the chocolaty Oreo flavour balanced out the ‘spiciness’.
However, the Oreo biscuits were unfortunately not crunchy at all (perhaps it is NOT that fresh), and overall could be too rich and overwhelming to finish on your own.

If you can’t get enough, they sell boxes of Mint Pretzels (6,000 Won, SGD7) and Mint Chocolates (6,000 Won, SGD7SGD) as takeaway gifts.
Well thankfully, the café also serves non-mint items like Chocolate Cake, Mango Peach Yogurt and Macarons.
Your non-mint-lover friends have no reason not to go now.
