The World’s Best Restaurant has been announced to be Noma in Copenhagen again, after it was dethroned last year by El Celler De Can Roca which is now at Number 2. (Read: Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2014)
At least if you want to try Noma (known to serve nordic mad food), it will be moving the entire staff to Tokyo for two months early 2015. I am not sure if I want to bother to get a reservation. Actually, yes I would because it sounds crazy enough.
Singapore has 5 restaurants on The World’s 100 Best Restaurants 2014 list, the highest ranked restaurant is Restaurant Andre at No 37. Congratulations to Chef Andre Chiang!
The other Singapore restaurants in the Top 100 list include Waku Ghin (No 50), Iggy’s (No 84), Les Amis (No 86), and Jaan (No 100) .

The list is created by having panelists cast a vote of seven choices for their best restaurant experiences in the last 18-month voting period. At least 3 of the panelist’s votes must be for a restaurant outside their respective geographical region.
There are few surprises this year, with the same predictable names of the list doing a merry-go-round in terms of positions. This would just probably mean a longer reservation wait-list for all the restaurants given the accolades.
