[Sydney, Australia] There was a time in Sydney when shopping malls close early before sunset (they still do) and it was almost impossible to find decent supper food after 9pm.

Not anymore. While previously it was the restaurants at Chinatown that opened till the wee hours of the night, there are more varied and exciting late night dining options. Though many of which are still Asian-cuisine oriented.

Do note for the Chinese restaurants, dim sum is usually served day time, while night time you would find more wok-fried and seafood dishes.
